Did you manage to get a chrome ball? I think they are being phased out. I can only get teflon-coated ones here in Swindon.

That does seem to be the way that they are already too worn, it must just be the way. Oddly enough I already have 11" brakes, though can not decide whether to downgrade back to 10s.

Ian, I hope you took out your larger wheel cylinders from the 10s and replaced your rears with them. This will really upgrade your brakes, and keep them in balance.

One of the POs didn't do this with ours, and so the fronts can lock up quite easily. Hence my original Q, I need front 10s to either downgrade the front, or upgrade the back...

yeah i had one spare good one, and paddocks had a brand new one. i didnt realise that they are becoming rare

Upgrade the back!!!

Although there is nothing wrong with a 70/30 brake bias front/rear.
