Without knowing exactly what's been removed it's hard for me to say, but posts aren't removed unless they break one of the written rules of the club, or in exceptional circumstances in which case you'd be PM'd about it.  I'll look through Quarantine and see if I can see what you're referring to.

Some mods say the mods are supposed to inform you each time, some say they dont?

No idea - as Mr TheLobster said, it isn't in the usual areas. Possibely just one of things, but in this case, I don't think there's owt underhand going on.
