A............a front wheel bearing for my Td5 Disco just cost best part £200 (parts only) I dont call that cheap......... ..

Landrover every time if you want all round use....

Discohugh:
As a landy fan and owner of a freebie and disco it pains me to say.......get a Jeep Cherokee very capable, good turn of speed, faultless straight six engine at £1000 you will get a good one as people are terrified of the MPG from the 4.0l engine but from my experience they return a lot better mpg than a V8 disco. I bought one 2 yrs ago for £1100 off ebay and it was superb but the call of landy was too much to bare.

Iain C:
<-------that was only £1300...

Bishops Finger:
Deiseisel Jeep Cherrys can have engine issues but a 4l Cherry can give 19 -24 mpg ..they are dirt cheap to buy if you look around, can be fully loaded  ....and as for off road capabilities....

bigant:
a battered old series landy allways have a smile on your face :) cheap parts and running costs (insurance tax exempt ect) strangers wave at you and they have alot more charm than a rice burner:P
