What makes an 8 valve vitty throw a rod????

<< < (2/3) > >>

Disco-Ron:
The only slight hint he had that something 'might' be amiss, was when he started it from cold 5 miles before it went pop, there was a small amount of what he described as 'steam' coming for the exhaust for longer than just condensation that you normally get....... but thats all that he detected......

jalopy joe:
I wonder if it had water in the cylinder and it hydrauliced, that would do it.

Disco-Ron:
IT would, but it would a seriously big failure to pop a rod when he was driving it, i know it doesn't take much water to hydraulic an engine, but..... anyways, all we do know is it's broke, and is being replaced!

electricbluebadger:
Conrod was scared of the dark.... :)

sorry I'll get me coat :)

Cheers Steve
