have you seen the update at the bottom of the page as well? It looks like the car was involved in a RTC and drove off and a 10 yr old kid was taken to hospital with whip lash. I dont belive the kid bit but it looks like he wasnt insured either!!

I had a similar thing to this when I did a postie round once where a kid borrowed his dads disco and decided to go for a play in a ford near Reading before heading up to Scotland. He didnt get far as the ford was 3ft deep and he had no snorkel!! He got stuck in the middle and the car was flooded etc. Pics on here somewhere.

Kids borrowing parents 4x4s give us bad names!

Ok admission time

I got stuck at the very same spot 24 years ago as a young teenager with a fresh license, in my Dads fiesta

It was late at night and It never impressed the girl I had with me one but, she was covered in sand and mud, I got out using the car mats under the wheels.
Yes my Dad brained me    yes I never saw much of the girl again.

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
It never ceases to amaze me that some people can be so stupid. When I used to work in Norfolk, my beat used to cover a lot of the coast, hence I used to patrol in a 90 with fat sand tyres on it.
I was called up to a place called Winterton Gap, which is where an old cart track leads through the dunes. The tarmac'd road ends quite abruptly and leads onto a steep drop down to the beach.
Some moron had driven his Ford Capri off the tarmac onto the soft sand of the slope and was a good way down towards the beach!
He asked if I would pull him out, as the AA had quoted over £200 to do the job. Being a kindly, public spirited Plod, I agreed (as it would pass the time and keep me amused at the same time), but only after he had signed my pocket book to say that he would not hold the Constabulary responsible for any damage caused.
He got back onto terra firma eventually, but discovered that the mounting points for his towbar weren't very strong!
