Winch Mounting on a Disco 1 - 200 TDI

I have just ordered a new winch

The question is do I mount it above the bumper, in the grill
                                 or
Below the bumper, bolted to a winch plate mounted on the Chasis?

 Any comments grately recieved.

what about above bumper outside grill, sure you lose some approach but you can get to all the winch and you dont restrict access to the spool/ rope, connections either.

I quite like the discrete below bumper mounts.

What is going to be the easilest way of mounting (both above and below)?

Saving up for a winch bumper.

Don't fancy cutting up the grill though
