Sharpshooter:
Hi everyone.

The input bearing on my front diff gave out yesterday. Whats the quickest way to get the diff out. Do i have to remove both the front hubs and all associated gubbins.

Also. What would the ratios be, and how many spline?

Cheers Wayne. :D

stageonesimmo:
Just undo the ring of bolts holding the swivel housings onto the end of the axle tube - with the wheels of and the brake calipers off at the mounts then tied up to the springs to prevent damage to the flexi's, you will get enough movement to clear the ends of the half-shafts out of the diff, then its only a ring of bolts to do back up on each side and the calipers back on then off you go.....

'S the way I do it anyway.......  and I had to change the diff 3 times in a week at one point on my Stage One so I know it works......

Sharpshooter:
Cheers. That was my second option. :)

Hopefully not too much other damage. :(

stageonesimmo:
Just read it again - the ratio will be 3.54:1 but the spline numbers depend on what year it is......

Edited to add a '4' where it was missing cos I cant type!

extreme90:
you'll need take track rod off at one end   aswel, 3.54.1 ratio what reg is your 110 ?
