remote fault

wing nut:
when i used to open and close my doors using the key fob ,the indicaters used to flash ,now they dont  :?  ive checked all the fuses and nothing appears to be blown ..any ideas ?????thanks in advance

shaun and co:
i've heard of this being attributed to the immobiliser not working. apparently the lights only flash if the immobiliser is working but i dont know how true this is.

TimM:
I've heard (a rumour) that there is another fuse connected the the alarm ECU which is buried just above the passenger footwell (behind the relays), but I haven't dug mine out yet to check.

Wolfie:
Could it be something as simple as the batteries in the remote running low? ISTR that Rover cars wouldn't flash the indicators to warn that the batteries need replacing, but it's a long time since I drove anything other than a LR.

Regards

Wolfie

Give that man a pat on the back. He is right.

I had it with mine. The battery still lasted about 8 months after the indicators stopped flashing.

4flashes = battery ok, no flashing = batteries low.

Easy to change them too.
