jvc stereo help /.

in me new toy there is a jvc stereo in it . mp3 radio and single slot cd. the front flips down to put the cd in. alls good but cant find out how to get the cd out. tried every button but cant seem to retreive it . help . cheers alan.....

I've just fitted a KD-G501 to my P38 - according to the handbook the cd should eject automatically when you flip the front down
However you can lock the cd in the slot so it cant be ejected - to cancel this feature you have to do the following :-
whilst pressing the cd/cd change button press and hold the standby/on button at the same time for more than two seconds - "eject ok " should flash on the screen for about 5 seconds then you should be able to eject in the normal way

tried that  found the jvc web site , does say the disc is locked . retreived it by holding source button and i think one of the buttons on the top left it came up with eject please. relesed the whole front and it came out, it is the only way it wants to work so i think like you say ive got to unlock it somehow, cheers alan.....

used to have one in the RRC and the buttons needed cleaning - also played up when hot - had to turn it off and on the eject..
