clutch release arm
Eck-T:
hi guys hope you can shed some light on this, may be a common fault
Got home from off Rd event last weekend clutch starting to have difficulty engaging gears, leaking slave cyl
ordered new one arrived yesterday
removed old one clutch release arm felt slack :( , refitted new one no clutch :( :(
removed again , clutch release arm sloppin all over the place seems to have come off release bearing, not hole in arm at slave cyl end (have heard that this can happen)
Is ther any way to get the arm on wothout taking g/box off??? :?:
cheers
Alex

I may have this wrong but doesn't the clutch release arm feel sloppy anyway from the slave cylinder end.
I am saying this because when I changed my slave cylinder the actuator rod came off the arm and I had a right job getting it back on, but the fact that the release arm was moving around made it easier. I remember thinking the same as you and I asked a mate who said "just bolt it all back together, bleed it, then see what happens" and it was OK. Took some bleeding mind.

afink whats happend in this case is the arm has come off the pivot like happend to me, and still to the day i dont no how or why
but your quite right there must be 30mm of play in the arm when the slave is off
