I once monitered my 3L TD Surf over a 12,000KM period and worked out I was getting 24.7675mpg (or something like that). Then I put 33" MT tyres on and gave up worrying about it. A full tank (60L) now only gets me 400Km or so but the odometer is under-reading.

£10 = 50-70miles dependant on the roads, i find mine is more economical pottering to and from work than on the motorway (..although touching 90 fully laden probly doesnt help!*)

*once on the way up from yorkshire not on public roads of course  :wink:
