How do i convert a 24volt sankey to 12volt?
Is it just a case of changing the plug and bulbs or is a full rewire required?

Plugs are the same, just change the bulbs, it is that easy. Also I would advise to change any where that has 24v written on the thing to advoid any future accidents.......

stageonesimmo:
By changing the plug do you mean from the NATO one to a standard civvy type?  If so, why not just make a bridge lead from a nato plug and civvy socket that fits between the 2 - easy enough to do and keeps the trailer original......

SAS is right about the bulbs though and changing any stencils to 12V - Oh how we laughed in the old days before it went all 24V when folk blew all their bulbs......

hobbit:
Dont forget the number plate light

Yeh sorry the plug that goes in the back of the towing vehicle.
How would i make a bridge lead? whats involved? How do i wire that up then?
The sankey still has the infa red light underneath,
It says "Bradley" near the towing eye not "Sankey".
Any differance? please excuse my ignorance. but i never served in Her Majesty`s Armed Forces.
