I resent the recent legislation that more or less forces me to pay someone to do a job that I am over-qualified to do myself.  More of the nanny-state culture that doesn't even trust us to work out wether or not we can safely do a job within the confines of our own home.

we pay £250 per full day for a sparky with apprentice at work. I imagaine the apprentice is on minumum wage which would put the main sparky in the middle option.

I ask nicely for stuff at home and they will quite happily pop out and check out work that i have done and put the finishing touches on it. :)

Part P isnt so bad - you can still get away with most jobs if you read it (you can add to existing wiring no probs) - it is just kitchens and bathrooms you arnt supposed to mess with.
