that depends on the rims - if they're changed, they may have a bigger offset so the lock may be the same or better.

nope, hell get less of a lock with the bigger tyres :roll:
they will rub/catch (depending on tread pattern) on the radius arms, so he will need some offset rims ( 8x16 mods or 8 spokes) or fit spacers to regain a decent lock

if your doing road work and just occasional greenlanes then a all-terrain tyre like the bf a/t will work brilliant and also the bf a/t is remarkably good in the mud aswel for a a/t tyre  :shock:

I am running Cooper Discoverer ST which is an all terrain tyre, i find them superb on road,motorway and off road never got stuck,fuel economy still good at 30+ mpg. They cost around £65-70 each from paddocks,craddocks,nene valley off road,sinton tyres etc. Well worth the money a bit more than remoulds, a lot less than Bf goodrich. hope this helps.
