Engine Breather

<< < (2/2)

Snooky:
Funnily enough I have a relative that may or may not have set up Brownchurch, and his suggestion was along those lines where you just bolt a collection can somewhere and run the hose to that, can't have it dripping onto the road thats naughty    but it is why you may see some old beer cans attached to older engines, all you need to do is empty it every now and again. Or just recycle back into the engine
Or you could just run it to the chassis, I like both ideas and will be playing with them soon as sick of changing the filter when I don't really need to.

The breather hose on my 90 hasn't been connected to the air filter since I fitted the engine nearly 18 months ago. The hose just drops down by the side of the bulkhead, it doesn't appear to lose any oil from it either. I guess any light oil just runs on to the panel and stays there, never seen any drips from it though.
