Leaky Steering box ?????
winchman:
I thought of that but I heard mixed reports about the life span of seal kits, so just went for a new box
Range Rover Blues:
If the seal goes it's often a sign that the bush or shaft above it is worn, that's why seals often fail soon after replacement. It's not guaranteed to be that though but as soad the drop arm can be a pig.
First time I tried it was having none of it so I had to rebuild the ball joint in situe, crouched under the car.
When I finally swapped the box I had a spare drop arm so I would have sent the box back with drop arm still fitted, but one day I 'needed something to hit', it took one good swing with a hammer and away it came
Disco-Ron:
I reckon it's down to the bigger wheels/tyres i just fitted, more strain and al that.... recon box will be fitted!!!
