My turn, another noise

A knocking sound that seems to come from the dash, 88 reg 90, all is working, but before I start to strip it all down, anyone got any suggestions as to what might be hanging down in there and therefore giving the knocking noise?

Hi, Have you ruled out engine/gearbox mountings, and rubber mountings on the exhaust?? Sound travels! Just a thought!!

No this most deffinately from the dash, gues I will be dropping that forwards now for a look

had it on mine....it seriously p***** me off, until one day, i noticed my speedo was playing silly beggers when the nocking/clicking noise was occuring.....
clip somehow unclipped itself it the speedo cable was only partialy engaged, pushed back in....no getting ready with hammer moments again  :twisted:

Sounds likely as the speedo is all over the place up to about 40mph, so guess now is as good a time to change it, thx
