SteveH:
86 will count as a classic.. mine was an 85 and had no issues, oonly mild mods though

Wanderer:
Hi Ian,
It's best to go with a company that will cover mods for you than have to change company mid term and loose NCB or a load of dosh.

I'm with Secure Direct as well and they do for me.

muddysteve:
excuse my ingnorance but how old does a car have to be to called a classic then??

Steve

Wanderer:
Mine got classed as one and it's a 1993.

So I take it it's 10 years.

Ed

Ben:
Some companies go with 15 years before it's classic...

I'll be looking at the 10 year ones next year at renewal when mine reaches it's first decade! Thanks for the tip!

With NFU at the moment, but tried to insure a mildly modifed series 3 and they wanted almost double the amount Peter Best quoted (about £260 instead of about £140).

Cheers

Ben
