Orange and white wire..

<< < (2/5) > >>

Sharpshooter:
What are you trying to do. This may help. If your looking for the wire for the fuel cut off, its the same wire that turns you coil on the petrol version. Look on the back of the ignition switch.

90sam:
Sorry im trying to put in a radio, and it says that i need the orange/white wire 12v ignition feed to plug into a bullet connector. I bought a radio fitting kit from brookwells website. and yes my 90 is diesel. Where is it or what wire do i need?

Litch:
Without pulling my dashboard apart I can't confirm the exact location of the white/orange wire but like I said, having checked the wiring diagram for pre-Defender diesel vehicles this wire is not present at the ignition switch.

Personally I took my perm feed direct from the battery (fused of course) and the switched supply came from the switched side of the battery cut-off switch, obviously this is of no relevance if you don't have a battery cut-off switch fitted!

90sam:
Nah dont have a battery cut off switch fitted! In the instructions with the kit, it says that it is in the middle of the dash but i've had a look for it and can't find it at all. I've got a white and red, and then a white and pink-ish but not really sure...

L90OOK:
You should have an orange & white wire there which is on it's own...it is quite thin too.
Alternatively, as above...have a look at the back of the ignition swith & either trace those or run a new one.
