90sam:

Does anyone know what these wires are used for? and could i use them for my radio? I've got a multimeter somewhere so i how do i use that to test each wire? put both the ends onto the same wire? or can anyone tell me which wires that i need to use.
Cheers all
Sam

tonycougar:
Put Black multimeter lead into socket marked "common" on multimeter, put red lead onto one marked volts/ohms. Then connect black lead to a good earth point on the vehicle. Then use the red lead to check for voltage at selected wires, oh!.........Make sure multimeter is set to volts choose a setting above 12V but not too far above (for instance mine has a setting of 20V which is good for measuring 12V).
To ensure your selected earth point is good, select ohms on multimeter, connect the black lead to battery earth then connect red lead to selected earth point and measure the resistance should be very low if its a good earth 1 or 2 ohms if not less.
If I am teaching you how to suck eggs the please disregard, I am only trying to help.
