Help! Skegness - oil leak for Frankie Boy

<< < (2/2)

dazzawhipple:
At a guess check the Vac pump bolts ... I have seen the fall of before

Darren

Frankie-Boy:
Thanks for your help with this.

Got home ok, still have a drip of oil from engine but it would appear no loss on dipstick

I'm gonna investigate further and will let you know the outcome.

Mash:
Good oh glad your home ok nad I hope it didn't spoil the holiday too much :)

Frankie-Boy:
Right then, the motor has been to hospital where the problem was diagnosed as the vacuum pump, as Dazzawhipple said earlier, two of the bolts/rivets on the front of the unit had gone allowing a small squirt of oil to be ejected when the engine was running.

A replacement Vac pump has sorted it all out and now my engine is dribble free - for now anyway.

Thanks for your help and suggestions everyone.
