beatmasterdave:
yep, same happened to mine, it was the smal wire on the right :D  8)

Cassillis:
Thanks guys. John it's not that bad a job.
Having said that i have managed to free mine off but it's only spinning at a slow speed, i think the bearings in the motor are knackered.
Given it a good soaking in a releasing agent and letting it soak overnight.
See how it goes tomorrow morning [-o<

Cassillis:
Well soaking it overnight didn't work :(
I have removed the heater box to get at the motor, nice and easy two heater pipes off then four 14mm bolts. But what a pig to get the box apart, vacuum controlled flap is fitted as an integral part and won't allow the box to split :!:

The bearing in the motor is well and truly seized.

Land rover no longer make or supply the motors....Boohoo

There is a pattern part made........................Hooray

£220 + VAT......................................Kinel

Breakers here we come

barmiebrumie:
Graeme,
Is this a 200 or a 300  :?:  & has it got AC  :?: , I have a spare one for a 200 but will need that for mine, but I also have one for a 200 complete with AC heater, condensor & fans, compressor, dryer bottle, brackets, piping, belts & wiring if you are interested  :?:

PS :-  if you are any where near Brean Sands over Eatser pop in & have a beer with the West Mids Crew  :)

Thanks John.

Cassillis:
That's very kind John. Mines an early 200 and i have managed to source a heater box from one being broken close to me. If for any reason that doesn't work out you'll be on my scrounge list
Brean Sands over Easter, not sure what my orders from swhmbo are yet, but thanks for the invite all the same.

You be careful on them sands. They make short work of land rovers
