transfer box lever?

Been meaning to ask this probably very stupid question for a while.

My 200tdi commercial, the tbox lever is pushed forward and right for high range and back for low range, the knob on the top says the other way round, which bit has been changed?! :oops:

on mine forward and right would be low range so it sounds as if your knob is off a 300.
