I tend to play the 0.0 Litres game in the smarts, they count you down from 5.5 lites and when they hit 0.0L it usually means I am no where near fuel....

0.0L in a smart gets me about 6 miles.....

Maybe next time I'll aim for 7 or 8 and see what happens.

When I sold vans, I used to go right through the light on my bus, and get about 75 miles off the light.... and then squeeze 80 litres on a 75 litre tank!

Its a fun game.... I guess oneday I'll pay the price. or buy a fun car that excites me in other ways!

Except in the 6x6 which was every fuel station you passed :-)

Once in Guinea we had emptied the 110L tank, finished 220L of jerry cans and were finishing off the last 20L jerry can when we got to a petrol station.  Luckily, they actually had some petrol.  To fill up cost the equivalent of 6 months' wages to a Guinean.
