strange one

DFR:
when I pulled up in work today I turned off the engine took the key out and the battery light on the dash came. If I restart it the light goes out and seems to charge up fine.

Has anyone got any ideas

Sorry but your alternator has shot it :cry: take the battery of or you will end up with a flat battery!!!  :cry:  (I think) 8)  8)

if the alternator was shot, the bat light would be on constant
my thoughts are a short somewhere, however tiz a stange un  :?

DFR:
the battery is still charging have recently put in new bushes (after last play day). Just going to have to keep disconecting the battery when im not using it until the weekend when I can get a proper look

you'd commint suicide as soon as you got the keys  :shock:
afink its a short of some kind
remove the + terminal off batt and then just brush it back accross the terminal and see if it arc's...thats a good sign of a short
( make sure everythings off 1st tho  :oops: .... no reason y of course  :roll:   :lol: )
