Whats the different between the tec or te on clarke mig welders

My wife used to sell Clarke welders. Just phoned her to find out.

She hasn't heard of a "tec". "te" is a heavy duty casing and gasless only. "en" is gas, but can be converted to gasless.

That is what I think she was saying, anyway  :lol:

Not heard of it either. Have checked the manual for mine and no reference. It is probably a model.

Rather than just plugging in the clamp, you plug in both the clamp and the connection to the wire. This lets you change the polarity based on whether you are using gas and ordinary wire, or gasless (flux cored) wire.

I cant tell the difference from the machince mart site. Perhaps you should pop into the shop and ask them if they know?

It could be the same as the en gasless model thing that the blue clarke welders use? (I have an en converted to gas)
