Optima's - What size?

Someone has mentioned the Exide range. What are peoples views on these? and where can i get them?

The odeyssey's are supposed to be quite good i'm told - but at a price - i recently got quoted £423 fortwo of them.
Seen them on eblag for £150 each though

I use 2 PC1500's in my series 1 Discovery but at work we use 2 PC1200's in our overland prepared Series 2 Discovery.
2 x PC1200's are £294.12 (inc vat)
2 x PC1500's are £329.80 (inc vat)

I run 2 yellow top optima's for the main vehicle and have not had any trouble and i run an elecsol 110 for the auxilary stuff night heater etc.. never had a problem with this set up mind you it's all wired correctley with split charge and 120 amp alternator which i had on the test bench at work the other day and was doing 120amp and 14.2volts 8) 8) well chuffed... 8) Oh and all the battery's and alternator came to less than £400... Blinding 8) 8)

I was quoted fro 2 PC1700 batteries , which were recommended - is that a bit of an overkill for what i want?
