200/300TDI INTO P38
(1/1)
PITBULL:
THINKING OF DOING A P38 UP FOR OFF ROAD BUT WOULD LIKE TO PUT A 200/300TDI INIT ANYBODY DONE IT OR KNOW IF IT CAN BE DONE? OR IS THE BMW ENGINE GOOD FOR THE TASK I WOUL LIKE TO WORK ON THE ENGINE MYSELF NOT HAVE TO SPEND ££££'S IN BILLS FOR WHAT I CAN DO MYSELF ON A TDI
petergalileo:
Just an opinion but the deisel P38s are quite well known for being slow, the 300TDi I would imagine is less powerful still.
Wouldn't it be a great idea though !

Ahem
some slight tweaking & manual box & a Bmw derv is more powerfull than what a tdi will ever be
waveydavey:
always a good idea to remember that when BMW agreed that land Rover Could use the engine it was detuned so it did not compete with the BMW car.
