Looks like swmbo gets the rangie then

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
Are you sure its the cylinder and not a corroded pipe?

blackbob:
she been using the rangie  recently cos she likes the auto cos she has a knackerd back and finds the manual harder to drive so we put the disco on ebay and she had to use it today and the brakes went so got to sort the master cyl and hope it sortsthe prob out but at £110 plus vat from paddocks(had the same prob i had on the bus last summerand it was the master cyl) the only other thing would be the compensator valve as there is no fluid loss but in 27 years of mechanics i have never had to change a compensator

Range Rover Blues:
I find it odd that you have one rear and one front brake, given that there is one brake line to the rear (unless you have ABS) and two lines to each front wheel.

Anyway, hope you get sorted.
