spark plug gap

(1/1)

peasey:
Hi all,

Thanks
Paul

Snake110:
.8 mm for petrol and .7 for lpg
should be about right

doris:
My tupenny worth........

Always gap new plugs and don't be tempted to run them with larger gaps or you will blow coils for England..........

I know from experience after the garage that fitted my new engine left the new plugs at 1.2mm.

It only took me 8 coils and 4 months to suss it!!

Most plug manufacturers now recomend you don't re-gap plugs at all.  Too many get broken by poor gapping technique.

Anyway, most I buy  (all in fact) are correct out of the box.

30 thou for petrol, close them down to 27 thou for LPG unless you run iridium plugs, leave these alone - just fit as its.

peasey:
thank you everyone one
