get this... because its possibly the most ridiculous thing i've heard in a while.

our local shop, the co-op over the road, has had a problem basically since it opened 6 months (?) ago with getting robbed. not long ago they started employing security guards... that are around the age of 90, with the exception of one local lad - i believe he is actually assisting the robberies!

so anyway, off i go earlier (9:30ish) to get some chips from the chippy next door and i meet one of the women that works there. "you been at work?" i ask... "yeah have been duck, have been" she says.

"early 10pm finish aint it?" i ask.... "yeah closes at 9:30 now ducky!" she replies. "riiiight......." then a few seconds later "any particular reason why?"

heres the good part:

"oh, well it keeps getting robbed at 9:50, so now it closes at 9:30 so they cant do it, apparently!"

WHAT the BLOODY HELL?! which monkey came up with that idea!?!??!?!

this is bearing in mind that the indian guy that used to own the shop SINGLE HANDEDLY kicked out anyone that caused trouble and in the entire time we've lived here was burgled a SINGLE TIME..... and even then the shop was closed!
