Dislocation Cones?.....

(1/2) > >>

:? Firstly evening all, my question is and has probberly been asked before but here goes. I thinking of purchaseing a set of dislocation cones for my Rangie. Are they a good accessory or just a gimmick. Or am i best sticking to located springs, the rangie has a 2" lift anyway but i thought the cones would give better articulation esspecially on the rear. Do any forum members use them and are they any good. :)

strapping young lad:
i think disco inferno has them installed

ask him he'll surely advise u on them :)

scorpio:
they dont give you anymore articulation but they make sure if you pop a spring they locate back easy

muky-kid.:
:D Cheers will do.....

Eeyore:
Now then,

Dislocation cones won't make any difference to your articulation.

However, if your shocks have sufficient travel to let your springs dislocate then fit 'em - cos relocating springs with pointy sticks and lots of poking in a muddy puddle ain't fun (BTDT).

Beyond that, sussy travel gets a bit completed, involving shock lengths, top locations, spring lengths and a beer at the Muddywebs  8) .

Does that help, or have I just made matter worse?  :-s

cheers
