Bonnet isn't strong enough, you can't see over it, and it will fall on your head & kill you when you're under the bonnet because the bonnet stay isn't strong enough. Swing-aways put a lot of weight a long way back on a vehicle that already has a large rear overhang & tends to ground out on the tow hitch. Discos have heavy duty rear springs to cope with the spare. The only solution I found practical was to stand it behing the front passenger seat, chocked & strapped to stop it rolling, & preferably with a cover on it to protect the seat. This keeps the c.o.g down, & the weight between the wheels, and its easy to get at when you need it, - but you'll have to cut the legs off rear seat passengers.
The aerosol repair kits are fine until you rip the tyre, and you'll need 2 for a RR tyre. If you have an on board compressor then deflating the tyre a putting it in the standard wheel well is a good solution, but best with a tubed tyre - you don't want to go to inflate your tubeless spare & find the bead has come away from the rim while its been jammed in the back, so it won't inflate! The other option of course is to use a standard tyre, or a 235/70 which will fit in the wheel well, as a get me home spare. Best of luck .....

The last time i used the gunk in an areosle, it only put 20 psi into a 205r16 which was ok for the 3 mile to an airline but not really get you home capable for 4x4 tyres. But hey thats another reason why it won't be long before I have an engine driven air compressor.
I'm not sure what it cost, but we had a drum of industrial/agricultural tyre gunk, the last of which found its way into my BFGs. It has cured the slow puncture in one of them nicely (re seating tubeless tyres is a pain in the a***).

well, ive got the compressor from the redundant air suspension linked to an air line and i also carry an electric comperssor so the gunk stuff should be good, even if it needs more inflating.
Spare tyre behind the passenger seat edmason :(biglaugh): Where will my passengers sit ! :D

Fit one to the front of your bull bar, you'd lose the spots, but have a great pedestrian repeller :D
