hi lift jacks

(1/2) > >>

Daz800:
I am thinking of getting a hi lift jack and i want to know what should i get to go with it.

i have seen the foot plate shoe, fitting kits, cover   (it going to get used so will get dirty and wet) and various other items.

Main reason for wanting on is -- ive had two flats in as many weeks and when i fit my 7.50 tyres i want to be able to change any flat tyre asap and not be jacking it up next week ( with landrover jack) so to speak.

Where do you want to mount it, that wil help you decide on a fitting kit, or not.
it going to get used so will get dirty and wet, so wash it when you get home, unless you want to mount to the outside, but then I haven't seen many with covers

Foot plate, £30 for a lump of plastic, are you saying that you always get flats on mud, or could you get to a more hard standing to jack?

All seem like a lot of dosh for stuff that maybe won't get used much so you could save some money and just not bother

If yours is the later disco type with a smaller pcd on the wheel studs, I have a brand new jack carrier that fits through the spare wheel ??  Its a long story, but  im after £30 but its kinda heavy to post though?

I mounted the jack to the bulkhead behind the seats, upright in the middle, fits nicely and out of the way, and no need for a cover, thats assuming it's the 4ft one not the 5ft
