i would like to update my dash from the two dial allegro type

to the later efi type and the meastro/metro  column switch's

anyone done this?

is it possible?

No such word as can't but it might do your tree a little.

I wanted to swap tot he later electronic speedo type but it's just so complicated.  I'd definitely suggest you stick with the mechanical speedo if you upgrade.
