Webber Carb issues Maybe
« on: February 24, 2007, 14:39:59 »
Hi I have a little problem with my carb or I think it is my carb it makes a squealing noise sounds a bit like fan belt slipping on idle and when I take my foot of accelerator, I have checked the pipes around the carb giving them a wiggle to see if the noise changes but there don't seem to affect it. it has been getting worse but i have really started to notice it more when i went out today and when i got back it will no longer idle when i hold the rev half throttle i get the squeak. Has any one got any ideas.

Thanks in Advance.
Thanks,
      Baz

hi,have you checked the pipe and plastic joint from your servo to the manifold. If you have any splits it will make a whiny sound and reduce vacuum in the manifold causing it to idle iregular and die.
