fog lamp requirements

(1/3) > >>

Flimbo:
hi, just a quick question i thought i would ask while i'm getting the series 3 ready for its next MOT.

at the moment, the rear fog lamp is not wired up. i am wondering if i need to wire it up for it to pass the MOT. i.e. is a rear fog lamp a legal requirement. its a 1984 series 3 if that makes a difference?

the lamp was not working for the last MOT, but i'm unsure if they just forgot to test it or something lol

thanks, matt

MattW:
think it's a legal requirement for all vehicles. My friend is having to fit them to his 1976 S2

Fuddy as muck:
If its fitted to the vehicle then it has to work. If your Landy DIDNT come with rear fog when new then just remove it for the MOT.

Yes you will have to get it working, either centre or offside mounted, from vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1980

On an illuminated switch (or warning light) that operates when headlights are turned on

my 1974 series 3 didnt have one fitted, so the tester said it doesnt need one but if it is fitted it has to work.
