He's putting a lot of people in a very awkward situation.  

I don't doubt that he doesn't want any special treatment, but he is bound to get it in case he gets his head shot off.

Perhaphs Mr Blair would care to sign up for the T.A. now  he's going to have alot of empty space in his diary soon. .... no... thought not.

I was more struck by the last paragraph, which says almost the same.  Now the Queen knows just how apprehensive many other families in the UK have fealt about their children being sent off to war, by people who are not prepared to be in the same position.  King Tony's offsrping are still living in a couple of flats mrs prime minister bought on the cheap from some dodgy person we've all forgotten about.
