It's not too bad - open a new window (CTRL-N if you use Windows & IE), go to the place you want to make a link to and copy the address (including the http bit).

Now you just need to type then paste in the URL (CTRL-V) and finish it off with ]my link text   ...  easy peasy :)

Have you seen the help page for BBCode? There's a link to it under the Options section, just below/left of where you type new messages.
