what should I be looking for???...new toy bought

(1/4) > >>

the loon:
been offered a vit with a little tax/test on for £300 and going to have a look at the weekend.
The vechicles been taken in as a part-ex at a local garage but I have a friend who works there
can anyone give me a heads up as to what I need to be looking at to make sure I'm not buying a dog
 :D

wheelspinner:
All the normal car points, followed by the age old Suzuki problem "rust" especially around the floor near the back door (lift the carpets have a look) check near the seat belt mounts .Rear arches,if you are handy with the welder its not too much of a problem.
Mechanically they are pretty bulletproof. If you bought it and couldnt fix it you would make your money back breaking it.

Ask the garage to put it through an MOT before you buy it at least you would know what was it would fail on.but at £300 its a cheap motor.

Regards

Steve

the loon:
cheers wheels
Will be having a butchers on saturday and seeing what the score is

the loon:
well got the vit today...
Its a 1.6 JLX "class" with 186 on the clock
Needs a couple of minor bits doing but nothing that I can see thats actualy beyond me.

Now all I need is to find me curling tongs...

BTW anyone got any muds for sale?

Littledan:
is it me or is the rear wheel off the ground???
