dont bin your plugs! keep em until you now your existin ones are ok.

Coastcard:
Just 'cos I'm a fussy (sad) so and so, before you take the plugs out clean around them well (I use a hoover). It is amazing how much crud collects around the base and you could do without that in your engine when you unscrew them!
