borg/warner to zf

will the zf auto  box go in place of a borg warner auto box.....???? if so what will be different ..b/w box coming out of a 3.9 and a 3.5 zf going back in..thanks

Range Rover Blues:
I think one of us is confused.  AFAIK the gearbox is either Torqueflight 3 speed or ZF 4 speed with lock-up.
Transfer boxes are either LT230 with manual diff-lock or Borg_Warner with viscous lock
