Replacing centre box with straight pipe...
Eightpot:
I want to fit a straight through section in place of the centre exhaust silencer - after I've swapped my n/a for the shiny new(ish) 200tdi thats been sat in my yard for a while.. reckon it will help replace a bit of the flow lost after its been contorted round the downpipe conversion.
Paddocks are selling a Britpart stainless straight through pipe, but it's 50 quid
I'm sure I've read posts in the past about people making up thier own sections of pipe, but where do you start??
Are there places that sell straight exhaust pipe or will bend one to order?
AbyssDJ:
start by taking the center bit off. buy pipe, grind the center off, weld new pipe in, done ;)
looks something like this, and sounds something like this (one end and other end!) http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=D2ECB38E70ED0EE5
Range Rover Blues:
That link doesn't work.
I've looked under the RR TDi and there are 3 boxes, one really close to the engine. Which one can I get rid of?
AbyssDJ:
all of em if you want, as far as i know? although we left the rear silencer on ours.
