gasket where do i find one (now fixed BUT A QUESTION)
carbore:
Sounds ok price wise,
They will have had to change the oild and drain the coolant to remove the swapped fluids. Then they have put on a cam belt and set the cam timing, possibly new spark plugs, in addition to the head swap.
I wouldnt be to upseat with that bill for a k series.
JC:
The guy that did mine charged £350, came to the house too . . genuine parts and fluids ....... but ...
1. The water had gone into the oil not the other way round, so no need to flush the cooling system or new spark plugs.....
2. The engine did not overheat so no need to skim the head.
3. Cam belt changed recently so no need for new one.
All said and done, I'm very pleased with the work done and 5k miles on still running sweet ....
