Blimey another one, well said Kev  :D

Jimbrown:
I enjoyed the program and presumably anyone who has seen TG more than once would realise that vehicles are displayed in the extremities of their capabilities, after all that is what makes the show. I cant comment on the winching teqhniques as I have never attempted any winching  , but I know enough to realise I would not be anywhere near the cable under tension :o .

My personal veiws.
The capabilities of the vehicle are as expected of a land rover, the design of the vehicle imho is boxy and ugly   not as nice as the series 2 disco saying that if anyone was to offer me one I would'nt refuse it :) :D

Andy.:
I watched tonights episode and JC mentioned that he had received many complaints about him driving a Land Rover Discovery up a mountain

The question is who complained  :?:

Rambles, which to be honest I would'nt of thought many watched Top Gear or those 4x4 owners which have constantly moaned over his driving up a mountain and the winching that was displayed  :?:

Jimbrown:
Unfortunately I missed TG tonight though I will try and catchthe second showing I would have liked to have heard the complaints and responses, however I didn't miss the wheeler dealers, oh dear if you thought people were going to get on their high horses regarding JC's antics up a Scottish mountain just wait till you cop a load of Mike Brewer in wheeler dealer that, look out on sky for the episodes where the wheeler dealers are beefing up a suzuki sj410  :D

JeepCher53:
Well, Tazman (hubby) and I have seen JC's episode twice now. Problem is, each time you watch it something else grabs you. First the winch exercise, then the rights of way bit.  However, whilst the ramblers, NIMBY's, Campaign Against 4x4s may have been watching - you can't help feeling fuzzy and proud. I actually held my breath the first time I watched    Was the Disco going to make it? Could JC do it? Personally, I would have loved to have a go at that and I was chuffed to bits the Disco did it!  Not saying that other marques couldn't (have owned 2 Shoguns in the past   ) But we are well and truly Land Rover nuts.  Plus, I had a personal letter from Mitsubishi outlining the "value" of the new Shogun against the Disco 3   At the end of the day, it's good TV and good publicity and I can only say: Well done!!
