heated screen

knocker:
anyone know how to connect an early disco heated windscreen, it's not a bonded screen and it has two connectors on the top by the mirror and one connector on each side, any help appreciated.  i'm thinking a relay (100 amp) and power from the fuse box switched using the same switch as the rear screen ?  do i use all four connectors ?

Range Rover Blues:
The heated element is split into 2 halves, so one pair of connectors are earth, the other 2 are to the relay.  In practice LR used a momentarty switch and latching relay with timer, so the heater stays on about 8 minutes IIRC.

My 93 disco has got a screen just like the one you describe. It has 2 black strips across the top of the screen. I thought it was for an internal aerial, which switch activates it?

Range Rover Blues:
There should be a momentary switch with an arch shaped window on it.

redhand.....the standard screen has two black strips along the top but no elements in the glass, yours may not be heated mate  :(
