MSN's the worst.  Unreliable, messages go missing all over the place, full of advertising, and the user interface is laughable.

Rather like Microsoft's operating systems, it's the most popular, but don't kid yourself that means it's any good.  It's crap.

There are 2 alternatives:
1) Use a different interface to MSN.  I've just started using Trillian, at the suggestion of another Mud-club member.  It's better than the lousy MSN interface, but it's not going to sort out the problems with the network itself.

2) Use a different IM network.  Google Talk is pretty reliable;  Skype is too.  Trouble is, you'll need to get your friends onto the other network too.  Skype is more appealing for most people because they can use it for voice & phone calls too.

he's a clever boy.

anyway, thats what i was trying to say, therm. only the "best" because its the most popular, hence the word "best" being between quotation marks.

i did try trillian at one point (years ago) and it just [!Expletive Deleted!] my computer up, really. might be better now though.

using another network would be the solution, but as you said - its just getting all your mates etc onto it.

I saw your point, my comment was just aimed at the world in general :)

All upto date, regulary run spybot/ccleaner to keep things smooth & quick (well, as quick as possible).
