Central locking playing up
« on: November 06, 2004, 18:38:46 »
Recently the central locking on my 200TDi has been playing up.  You often need to lock and unlock the driver's door several times before the rest of the vehicle decides to play along.  It's the same if you use either the key or the plunger inside.

Tomorrow I'm going to take it apart and give everything a liberal dousing in switch cleaner to see what happens.  Other than this, anyone got suggestions what to look for?

I doubt it's related, but I've just replaced one of the rear locking motors.  It worked fine for a few days afterwards, and then went funny.  Probably just coinkydink, though.
