just looking at the tomcat web page and how their made,my question is how heavy are they? all that steal tubing on top of the orignal chassi can not be light? surely?
So off roading surely thats a slight disadvantage?

I cant find an un-balasted weight :?  :? . From what i can gather the F.I.A. specify a minimum weight for vehicles entering competitions.... So, can any of you guys answer the question... "whats the un-balasted weight of a wildcat & tomcat?"

That only applies to FIA events - the Dakar, the European BAJA series (including BAJA GB) etc. It is related to engine size - I'm sure that the info used to be on the Bowler website, but can't see it at the moment

For National events, like the BORC and Hillrallies (links in sig), and club comp safaris there is no minimum weight.

No idea what regs there are for challenge type events.
