I was about to say "same here" but you're not far down the road from me.

Lee_D:
I've not heard them say heavy snow to be fair, just a serious chance of disruption, which roughly translates to Ramblers in Moggy miners clogging up the roads for propper cars.

We live on a bank on a bend... must remember to put a tape in the CCTV, always interesting to see how much father the lamp post across the road will be knocked before they straighten it.

I reckon a couple of inches soon to be polished by eeejits with supposed traction control Beemers and the like.

Went to Lapland at Christmas, they just take it in their stride.

xmob:
I will guarantee that there's not going to be any significant snow here in North Yorkshire.

I got Jess (my quad) back on the road last weekend (after a 6 month break).  It'd be too much good fortune for snow to come now.

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
Ooh yeah baby! Bring it on!. I've got a tank full of diesel, a winch, a tow rope, new tyres on and an urge to stick my fingers up at all those self righteous  antis!
"Oh, I'm sorry, is that your bean powered car stuck in that snow drift?"

"Like, yeah, man, and I really need to get to my 'Save the Ant' rosehip tea and tofu morning"

"Would you like me to pull you out?"

"Like, yeah, that would be cool"

"You would like me to pull you out, but I'm not going to, sucker!"
